Edible Community Gardens

Since we started in 2010 Incredible Edible Wakefield have been turning unproductive land into attractive community gardens so that more people can get access to space to have a go at growing their own food.

Our edible community gardens contain 8 to 12 mini plots as well as communal fruit and flower beds so that they look more "garden" than allotment.

Mini plots are about 9 metre long x 1.5 metre wide (27 foot x 5 foot) and are ideal for those who only want a small plot, want to grow more socially or need somewhere to have a go before deciding whether they fancy a full allotment or not.

Got a piece of land in mind?

If you know of a piece of land that could become our next edible community garden then get in touch.
